DazaKiwi Oct 4, 2017 @ 6:41pm. Suggestions: see hired drivers on the map and in game. I would love to see in the Driver Management window the ability to see a mini-map showing you where they are and the truck icon moves along the route they are on as well as when you go to full screen map see their truck icon and first name above it.
It takes time for drivers to start earning decent money. They need to gain experience. Get at least three drivers all in the same garage. Give them decent trucks. After you employ a driver, he/she won't start earning until you complete a job. I had 40 drivers, with trailers, they made me over £40 million pounds.
The hired drivers have basic Iveco truck with base parts. I read giving them upgraded truck does very little to profit (10% at most), so I see it as something for end game. I was considering giving them flatbed or curtainsider trailers, because it seems the loss the most money when using low bed or low loader trailers.
2 of my drivers are maxed out in long distance ability. I gave them my old trucks with 6x4 chassis but they had always 400-700 km distance targets. As i changed their chassis to give them the lowest 6x2 they drive now above 800 km distance regular/ often ( if they are able to find a delivery).
This applies equally to a driver whose home garage is Bern as to one in Berlin. Are you sure? I just assumed the same rules would apply to hired drivers as to the player. The freight list of a major city is usually several pages of jobs. The freight list of a small town is usually 1, maybe 2 pages, and not full pages either.
First off, they re-balanced the economy to make drivers earn less, so even if you kept doing what you used to do you will notice a drop in income. I have found the Dry Van is the overall winner for %usage. The bigger the trailer the more you earn so I tend to buy 53' with a California setup [wheels forward] for my drivers. . 315 268 184 103 338 340 363 35 17
